SCBWI Shout-out

Attention Kid Lit writers!

For those of you who live in and around the Lower Mainland AND who are looking for a supportive group to join, don't forget to check out the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. The parent group for this organization is Amercian, but it's a great place to go to establish some connections and gather information about writing and illustrating for kids.

I spoke at a SCBWI gathering yesterday in Burnaby, and had a great time meeting this very interested and supportive group of people. You do NOT have to be published to be a member, butwhen I look over the membership list I see names from the gamut of the writing spectrum -- from unpublished to widely published.
