Just read a very cool article about SiWC past presenter Kelley Armstrong, who is now  when she is not putting out new books -- she has THREE coming out this year!) writing for Joss Whedon's ANGEL comic book series.

I LOVE the very funky author photo they've put up for her!

The Board is reconvening after winter break and will be making some decisions regarding the faculty for the upcoming SiWC 2009. When we have some firm acceptances to our invitations, I'll be posting them here. So keep your eyes on the blog to get a first taste of all that SiWC will hold!

In other news, there are a few new pix up in the gallery section of the website. If you've got pix you'd like to share, drop me a line at and I'll do my best to get them up where everyone can enjoy them.

Lovers of all things Slade rejoice!

Long time-presenter and friend of the conference (yep -- that's he and his lovely daughter Rebecca standing with Board members on our front web-page...) has a brand spanking new website.

Check it out HERE: Slade's New Website.

It's chock full of tall tales and pictures -- sites from where his stories take place to a Very Worried Looking Alice Cooper.

Here's the starred review from Publisher's Weekly:

Starred Review. An innocent yard sale jump-starts this stunning stand-alone thriller from Ephron, author of Amnesia and four other mysteries written with Donald Davidoff under the name G.H. Ephron (and one of the Ephron writing sisters), as well as two nonfiction books. Ivy and David Rose, happily married high school sweethearts, are trying to clear out the junk the previous owner left in their glorious Victorian in Brush Hills, Mass., before the birth of their first child. Among the bargain hunters is Melinda White, a high school classmate who's also pregnant. Considered...

The top of the year to you! Things are slowly getting back up to speed here at SiWC Central. Our valiant Warrior Webmaster Dale McGladdery has finally managed to defeat the demons that have thrown up their walls of fire onto our picture pages, and new photos are beginning to appear.

And to start your year off right, here are the links to a few clips from 2007 and 2008 conference presenter Eric Walters. He's done up some YouTube spots to promote his new books FLASH MOB, SKETCHES  and  ALEXANDRIA OF AFRICA.
