Wow! We had a rousing first day of registration, and new registrants continue to pour in. Thanks to all of you for showing such enthusiasm for our conference!

We are experiencing a little technical difficulty with our direct link to the Sheraton Guildford hotel, and hope to have it repaired shortly. In the meantime, you can find the telephone numbers (toll-free and local) to the Sheraton on our hotel page here: Hotel Page.

Remember to tell them you're coming for the conference to qualify for the best rate. And please note that the hotel has sold out over the past several years of our conference. Book your room early to avoid disappointment!

 There are several other hotels in the area who offer preferred rates to conference attendees -- those are listed on  the hotel page, as well.

Just a quick follow-up to yesterday's post -- the Surrey School District (our patron sponsor) is establishing a new registration gateway for us to use this year. They have all the information in place, now, and are working on configuring the new system as I type. (Yes -- at this very moment!)

All this to say that, while SiWC 2008 registration will open (as noted yesterday) on July 17, 2008, we shall have the registration details up well before that. As soon, in fact, as they are available from the hard-working programmers who are setting up the system.

In the meantime, a couple of reminders.

1. Long before the conference sells out (which it has, over the past 3 or 4 years, at least) the Sheraton Guildford gets completely booked. If you are planning to come to the conference, make sure you call the hotel -- tell them you are attending SiWC 2008 in order to get the conference rate -- and book your room as soon as possible. There are several other local hotels that offer special rates to our conference-goers, but nothing beats staying where the action is.
