Updates, Site Changes and Bears, Oh My!

Just a little heads up that MANY updates and changes are happening on our site today, as we flip 2008 to 2009. We are hoping to have all the necessary info up by Wednesday, prior to our on-line registration opening.

This includes ALMOST all our programming for the conference, registration costs and dates, and the presenters' bios and photos.

You'll note registration costs have NOT risen from last year -- hurrah!

IF, however, you have any questions or concerns, feel free to fire them into an email to me [at kcdyer@siwc.ca] or in the comments box below, and we'll try to sort them out right away.

**Cute bear, though, eh? He was walking through my friend's backyard. I may have mentioned that I live in the backwoods of BC...

I am not in the backwoods of BC but had my own little bear walking through the very fenced back yard and then my roof. I live in what seems to becoming the bear capital of BC - Port Coquitlam/Coquitlam/Port Moody.

We have backyard bears in rural Mission, too! . Thanks for the conference update. I saw a reference somewhere about "going green". Does this mean we'll see bears at the conference... Winnie the Pooh? Paddington? Smokey the Bear? maybe even the A&W Root Beer Bear? Then again, maybe that's not such a great idea. A late night sharing of an elevator with an unsuspecting, unshaven delegate could cause panic to break out in the hotel. No, I'm not mentioning names! ;)

The only bears you will see at the conference will be the big, cuddly ones who write books. But we do have a bunch of Big Green Plans for this year -- you'll hear about them here, first!
