Happy Holidays from SiWC!

From conference coordinator Kathy:

Kathy ChungHello, All!

We can hardly believe it’s been more than six whole weeks since SiWC 2012. We’ve been busy here at SiWC Central, reading your evaluation forms (thank you!) and turning our attention to plans for SiWC 2013. And, of course, writing. Because there’s nothing like SiWC for motivating us to get words on paper. This day we write! We hope you’ve been writing, too.

Hunting for the perfect holiday gift for the writer in your life? Or maybe your family is wondering what to get you, the writer in their lives? We have just the thing!

We’re offering gift certificates for SiWC 2013. For a limited time, you can buy them – or get someone to buy them for you – at 2012 EARLY BIRD PRICES! We can’t think of a better gift for any writer than a weekend with like-minded colleagues at SiWC. Check out the details and buy here: http://www.siwc.ca/2013-gift-certificates

For those of you interested in the ins and outs of the conference, here are some SiWC 2012 numbers for you:

1600 banquet meals

900 pitch and blue pencil appointments

65 volunteers

55 presenters

9 board members

3 staffers

1 great conference.

Whether you made it to SiWC 2012 or not, we hope we’ll see you next year at SiWC 2013. We run October 25-27, 2013, with master classes on October 24. Starting in about February, we’ll add details of next year’s conference as we know them.

In the meantime, keep an eye on our website at www.siwc.ca. Our brand new site is coming soon! We’re excited, and hope you’ll love what we have in store.

And, as always, if you have questions, you can get in touch through our website or email me at kathychung at siwc dot ca.

Happy holidays!

~ Kathy
