The Soapbox - Ep4: Anthony Dalton

  • Length: 13:04 minutes (11.97 MB)

Do you dream about taking adventures and writing about them? It's not a dream for writer Anthony Dalton, but it isn't all smooth sailing, either!

kc dyer talks to Anthony Dalton about how he was blind-sided when he was researching his biography of Tristan Jones, arguably the most success nautical author of the 20th century and whose work Dalton was a fan. Dalton said, "I had no idea until the first year of research was over. I was in New York when I discovered that I was writing the wrong book." He also talks about his writing process and gives us a trick that gets him past writer's block.

Tony. You're an inspiration to keep plugging away.

I'd never realized what being busy was all about until hearing this interview. And I can attest, Anthony always makes time to encourage and help other would-be writers. Thanks Tony and thanks Karen.
