A native Atlantan, current New Yorker, I revel in mornings that contain good literature and endless amounts of coffee. Writing, for me, means telling a story truthfully and beautifully. At St. Martin’s Press, I have worked on a wide range of projects, from literary fiction and currents events to cookbooks and memoir, in both young adult and adult. I am actively seeking both nonfiction and fiction projects and looking especially for fresh voices that speak to real, everyday issues and bold stories that I can’t put down. It’s crucial that readers can identify with characters they see in books—so, diversity is essential. In nonfiction, I am seeking narrative, memoir, health/lifestyle, cookbooks, and gift & pop culture projects. In adult and YA fiction, I am seeking upmarket/commercial, contemporary, women’s, and magical realism projects.
In my free time, you can find me devouring as many books as I can, traveling somewhere new, or playing flute with my community orchestra in Brooklyn. Some of my favorite books include Emma by Jane Austen, The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, Looking for Alaska by John Green, Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson, and Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
