Zsuzsi Gartner


ZSUZSI GARTNER is the author of the acclaimed story collection All the Anxious Girls on Earth, and editor of the award-winning Darwin’s Bastards: Astounding Tales from Tomorrow. Her second book, Better Living through Plastic Explosives, was a Scotiabank Giller Prize finalist. Her fiction has been widely anthologized, broadcast on CBC and NPR, and has won National Magazine Awards, most recently in 2016. She taught in UBC’s Optional Residency MFA Program for eight years and has been on faculty at The Banff Centre in various writing programs. Zsuzsi was the inaugural Frank O’Connor International Short Story Fellow for Cork, Ireland in 2016, and is the founder and director of Writers Adventure Camp at The Point in Whistler, BC. She lives in Vancouver.
