Attorney and award-winning novelist Pamela Samuels Young is the author of more than a dozen books, most of them fast-paced mysteries that tackle important social issues. Her thriller Anybody’s Daughter won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Fiction. A former television news writer and in-house counsel for Toyota, Pamela’s desire to see people of color represented in the legal thriller genre prompted her to write her first novel while still practicing law. The Compton, California, native earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from USC and received graduate degrees from Northwestern University and UC Berkeley School of Law. Visit Pamela’s website at
