Juliet is the New York Times bestselling author of more than thirty novels, including three mystery series and several standalone novels set in France. Her latest, Asylum Hotel, is set in her native Northern California. Juliet studied Latin American Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and went on to earn Masters degrees in Anthropology and Social Work from the State University of New York, Albany. Juliet taught Medical Anthropology, published several academic articles, helped produce a BBC documentary, and served as an elementary school social worker in rural New York. Upon returning to California, Juliet established her own decorative painting, historical renovation, and domestic design studio. She is past president of Northern California Sisters in Crime and former board member of Mystery Writers of America.
Juliet loves spending time with animals and kind people, gardening, fixing up ramshackle houses, hiking in the redwoods, scouring the beach for treasures, and cooking for friends with her French fiancé. She now splits her time between Northern California, France, and Spain.
Juliet believes in the magic of language, travel, and cultural exchange to open hearts, minds, and souls.
