For more than 30 years, the Surrey International Writers’ Conference has offered a one-of-a-kind professional development experience for writers and storytellers from around the world. SiWC has helped writers at every stage of their journey grow their careers, strengthen their craft, and build lasting communities that continue well beyond the conference weekend.

The conference operates as a not-for-profit society, supported by a volunteer board of directors and a small number of staff. Thanks to careful budgeting and frugal spending, we have, until now, relied solely on registration fees and modest grants to cover our costs. However, since 2019, the hard costs of running the conference have nearly doubled.

We are committed to ensuring SiWC remains an inclusive, welcoming, and career-expanding experience—both online and in person—for many years to come. To do that, we need your support.

	SiWC Writing Dates Every Wednesday, 12 to 1 pm Pacific July 22nd to October 14th, 2026 Online via Zoom The countdown to SiWC 2026 is on! Join friends in the SiWC community every Wednesday leading up to the conference for an hour of dedicated writing time. Bring your WIP, a new idea, or let the week’s prompt inspire you! All writers are welcome, whether you’re attending SiWC this year or not.
