A Killing Rain (Flame Tree 2022), the second book in her Killing series, was named by Crimereads as one of the best southern gothic mysteries of 2022 and was long listed for the CWA Gold Dagger award. Rain also won gold in the 2022 Foreword Indies Book of the Year Award. Two of her short stories have been anthologized in The Best American Mystery and Suspense (2021 & 2023). Faye is a member of Sisters in Crime, Crime Writers of Color, and Mystery Writers of America.
